Light Weight Foam Concrete
GENERAL GUIDELINES
All items must be stored in a covered space that is shielded from UV and sunlight, regardless of whether they are loose or on pallets. Inappropriate storage and excessive heat might damage the material.
Applying materials in the presence of harsh weather, such as a sandstorm or rain, is not recommended. Application-related ambient temperatures should range from 50 to 450C.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Sand, aggregate, oil, and other loose materials should not be present on the surface. Applying a brush can result in a clean surface.
- Sloping bays and ridges need to be prepared according to the roof's pitch and requirements.
- After combining the necessary quantity of cement bags with water for two to three minutes, the necessary quantity of chemical should be added.
- The combined material is subsequently placed in the foam compartment, where high pressure air is introduced, creating light weight foam from the combined material.
- The foam is then pumped to the project site and spread and trowelled smoothly according to the roof's pitch, etc.
- Under the current conditions, foam concrete takes 12 to 24 hours to initially set. Hessian cloth needs to be spread out over the finished surface and kept moist for a minimum of three days to complete the extended curing process.
- To maintain its integrity until the recommended curing time has passed, the area must be blocked off and separated.
